Specification

INSTALLATION

  • The chamber should be placed on a sufficiently strong support surface, taking into account the weight of the device and the maximum weight of the person using it, in order to avoid tilting or tilting the chamber.
  • The chamber should be connected to the power supply according to the information on the rating plate. The device should be connected by a suitably qualified person in accordance with the relevant legal regulations governing such connection.


FIRST RUN AT THE BEGINNING OF EACH CYCLE OF THE DEVICE

  • At the beginning of each chamber cycle, check that the gloves are intact. In the event of any deviation from the norm, the gloves should be replaced before proceeding.
  • At the beginning of each cycle of the chamber's operation, a performance test of the device should be performed, which includes checking the operation of: lighting internal, intercom, emergency button and device reset button.
  • Before the first patient uses the chamber, it must be decontaminated in accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO ). The inside of the device is designed for the use of solutions with an ethanol content > 70%. Employees involved in the disinfection of the chamber must use appropriate personal protective equipment in accordance with the internal risk assessment document and the relevant legal regulations regarding the risk of exposure to biological agents.


USING THE CHAMBER

  • After disinfecting the chamber, ventilate its interior with the door open for 5 minutes.
  • The healthcare professional allows the patient to enter the chamber from PAGE A according to internal procedures. Hence, THE CHAMBER DOOR STAYS CLOSED.
  • The healthcare professional collects the swab while standing at the side of the chamber, according to internal procedures. The medical worker MUST WEAR DISPOSABLE GLOVES and perform the activities after placing their hands in the gloves installed in the chamber.
  • The retrieved swab is then properly secured and placed on the p inside the chamber.
  • The medical worker responsible for the disinfection takes the sample with the swab taken and places it in in a suitable place in accordance with the applicable internal procedures. Then, the device should be disinfected in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, and in particular, care should be taken to disinfect the entire surface of the gloves from the inside of the chamber. After disinfection, close the A PAGE door for 5 minutes.
  • The procedure should be repeated from point 1 for each additional patient (open the door and wait 5 minutes before admitting the patient).


LIGHTING, INTERCOM AND EMERGENCY BUTTON OPERATION

  • The light should be turned on by pressing the switch on the B side of the chamber.
  • Intercom instructions are provided on the installed device.
  • Disable the emergency button by pressing it on the B side of the chamber.


WARNING!
The unit (hospital) that uses the chamber must describe the specific internal safety procedures in accordance with the risk assessment document and the relevant legislation on the risk of exposure to biological agents. Adequate disinfection and proper adherence to the timing rules (decontamination + closing the door for 5 minutes + opening the door for 5 minutes) are essential in order to minimize the risk of contamination. The manufacturer is not responsible for any cases of infection that may occur due to improper use of the chamber and for disinfection activities that are not taken in accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization and the relevant authorities.
